FROM SONKO RESCUE TEAM & CAR WASH ATTENDANT TO DRIVING A 2,000,000+ CAR – PATRICK WAMBUA

I have told you many stories on this blog, stories that I personally resonated with and moved the writer as much as it moved you, the reader.
I promise to keep telling you these stories because this has now become my favorite way of spending my time. Of all the great stories I have told and those am planning to tell, this is my personal favourite so far and it will most likely be your favorite too. That might change in the future, very near future maybe, but for now, let’s live the moment.

A first encounter with Patrick would leave you thinking you met a city lawyer, politician or a fashion icon. His fashion style is that a classic man, a very rare style to find in men in their early 20s but Patrick ain’t your ordinary gen Z. He is clearly cut from a different cloth. He rocks designer suits, shoes, watch and a stylish but timeless mature hair cut.

It wasn’t always like this for him. About 3 years ago, Patrick was going about his day and his lucky star appeared. At this point in his life, all that mattered was survival. He was a student in campus and whenever he wasn’t in class he would find ways to get busy over the holidays and weekends to make a living. He worked with the SONKO RESCUE TEAM(an NGO founded by former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, that offered among other servicess: ambulance, hearse, breakdown, wedding transport, water, security and emergency responses servicese).Whenever he was engaged with the sonko rescue team, he would wash cars in a car wash in his estate only to earn ksh 40 per cash washed. This meant, for him to earn ksh 400,he was expected to wash a minimum of 10 cars. If you’ve washed a car, you know how hard it is, now imagine doing so 10 times in a single day. Excruciating to say the least, if you haven’t yet, try it. Offer to do it for free just to learn.
Challenges cannot stop a determined soul. He kept dreaming hoping that one day he will drive into the same car wash to have his car cleaned. He always dreamt of putting a smile on his family members and being the first born in a family of 5,he felt obligated to do this sooner than later. Having been brought up in Nairobi’s eastlands area, he had an experience with both sides of the city, the haves and have not. That gave him a reason to dream.
Courtes of a decision he made 3 years ago,not only can he afford to spend over 2,000,000 on a car of his dreams, he has also manager to support his siblings and parent to live a very comfortable life. I his own words he says:
THIS IS A GAME Changer. I Started with zero skills, zero experience, zero money. BUT WITH THE RIGHT BUSINESS MINDSET. I decided to be coachable, teachable, and available to learn how the business works.
THROUGH the support and mentorship the company offers, he has managed to develop and grow as a person and grown a huge team of distributors and now taking home a 6-figure monthly income as he aims to hit the 7-figure target before he celebrates his 5th anniversary since he said yes to the opportunity a stranger offered him on Facebook.

He can now afford one holiday to a different holiday destination each year something he never imagined earlier. This he says, helps him clear his mind and see the world in a whole new way.
In Dec 2021, Patrick launched his brand new subaru impreza G4 and left many in shock. He did it in the middle of Covid-19 pandemic when most kenyans were struggling to feed their families. That he says is why you should choose a future proof business. A business that is not affected by pandemics, natural calamities etc. That, can only be an online business with digital products/services. The vehicle is a luxury sedan with very cool feature like heated leather seats, subaru’s permanent all wheel drive, sport mode, keyless entry & ignition among others. While showing me around his toy, He jokingly shared that it is a big toy for big boys, I agreed. Unfortunately not many his age can afford the luxury of stepping into one, leave alone driving and owning one. But he promises to change that narrative.

Asking him about the future, he shared a few reasons why he chose the industry and would choose it again.
1.It’s Freedom For me, ie Time freedom.
2.I don’t want to be bossed around being told what to do from Monday to Saturday, January to December, years after years, instead, I want to be my own boss where I’ll choose my working hours and write my own cheque .
3.I hate being stuck in traffic especially on a rainy Monday morning.
4.I’m after financial freedom as well, I want to compress my working years, the goal is to retire young and rich.If you need to take your life to the next financial level, ready to dare life itself and conquer, ready to achieve your dreams, own that dream home and car, live in your dream neighborhood and be able to live a limitless life then here is your golden opportunity.

My conclusion from the interaction I had with Patrick is that, success in anything is not an accident, and definitely not lack. It’s a result of conscious effort towards a noble course that is beyond you coupled with hard work.
